Soccer Monkeys Baby Blanket and Burp Cloth

 While spending Christmas vacation with my family my crafting does not end. This is one of the projects I've completed while I have been away from home.

 This is a bright and vibrant baby blanket for a girl and a matching burp cloth. The bright pink background makes the brown monkeys and soccer balls very inviting. This blanket is perfect for wrapping up your future soccer star. The burp cloth is contoured to fit on your shoulder and around your neck.

It is a fleece blanket with a crocheted cotton border. The blanket measures approximately 43 inches by 45 inches, and the burp cloth is 17.5 inches by 7.5 inches and 9.5 inches.

Basic Baby Carrier with Diego

This simple baby carrier is great for moms who need a free hand or two. I use this regularly while cleaning. It allows my little boy to be able to be looking around from a higher level than the floor. I've used it both to carry in front and to carry in back. I definitely prefer carrying in the front. It is not of my own design. I love how securely my son sits to my body, and that it has some room for him to grow. It can be reproduced in any cotton fabric with a basic interfacing lining within 1 month for $20 plus shipping. This carrier is available on Etsy.

 

The pattern has these disclaimers "Not intended for babies under 4 months of age," "carrier...is one size, up to 35lbs," and "By purchasing this [product] you acknowledge that [the manufacturer] accepts no responsibility for injury due to use of this product." These disclaimers make sense given that when used this product does hold very precious cargo. I've had no problems using it. They also issue these safety precautions (you can't buy anything for children anymore that don't have safety precautions):

1. Check carrier each time for wear and tear before placing baby in carrier.

2. Always keep hands on a squirming baby.

3. Please keep child's airway free.

4. Remove baby from carrier before placing baby in car seat, crib or bed.

To these precautions, I also recommend that you keep one hand on your child while bending over.

Argyle Lace Dishcloth in Red

 This lovely dishcloth was made from a pattern I found online designed by Cass Long. It is a rectangular dishcloth. It measures about 12.5 inches by 9 inches. It could be reproduced within 2 days for $2.50 plus shipping. It is available on Etsy.

Sleepytime Seashells in Baby Blue

This lovely blanket was started as the blanket I was going to give to my son. It was one of 2 since I couldn't decide which to do. The other lies still just barely started. Maybe it will make it on here eventually. I have since decided that I would give him a different blanket that was created earlier. This blanket is in a soft baby blue and measures about 34 inches by 44 inches. It can be found on Etsy. It could also be replicated within 3 months for $50 plus shipping.
